Commence Ceremony for the Maintenance Project of Sudan Friendship Hall Aided by China
On November 29, 2014, 10am local time, the commence ceremony for the Maintenance Project of Sudan Friendship Hall Aided by China supervised by our company was held at Khartoum, the capital of the Republic of Sudan. Mr. Zhou Chunlin, the Counselor of The Economic and Commercial Counselor’s Office of the Embassy of the People’s Republic of China in the Republic of Sudan, Mr. Mohammed, Director of Sudan Friendship Hall and representatives of Chinese contracting, design and supervising units attended the ceremony. The ceremony is celebrated according to Chinese ribbon-cutting tradition, marking the official commencement of construction of friendship hall maintenance project.
Counselor Zhou Chunlin made a speech in the commencement ceremony. He said Sudan friendship hall construction witnesses the deep friendship and is the symbol of friendship between China and Sudan, and this maintenance project will continue to prompt the communication and trade cooperation between China and Sudan and open a new chapter of friendship of the two countries.
Director Mohammed made a speech on behalf of Sudan government and expressed their gratitude to the aid of China. He said he has confidence in completing the maintenance project in good quality and on time by Chinese enterprise and Sudan will provide the maximum help for the construction of Chinese party. He expressed that the successful implementation of this maintenance task will further enhance the deep friendship between two countries.
Representatives from units executing the project committed that they will strictly control safety and quality, enhance resource management, scientifically organize construction and ensure to complete this difficult task safely, in good quality and on time. They said they will pay tribute to the older generation of constructors and let the pearl by Nile River continue to shine.
Maintenance Project of Sudan Friendship Hall Aided by China is one of the four key projects aided to the government of Republic of Sudan by Chinese government. It was first aided to be constructed in the early 1970s and is a building with symbolic significance aided by Chinese government and is one of the main conferences of international organization in Africa. It is called “A pearl by Nile River” by local people. The task this time is to be responsible for the maintenance work of the project.
